A Grand Confluence of Yoga Enthusiasts at ITRA’s Yoga Sangam
On the occasion of the International Day of Yoga, 21 June, the Institute of Teaching and Research in Ayurveda (ITRA), Jamnagar, an institution under the Ministry of Ayush, organized a Common Yoga Protocol practice session at Dhanvantari Ground. More than 2,000 participants offered Yoga tribute together.
The programme was held under the chairmanship of Director Prof. Dr. Tanuja Nesari, with Shri Laxman Dev Swamiji of the Shri Krishna Pranami Sampradaya gracing the event as the Guest of Honour. More than 2,000 participants, including students, faculty members, staff, CISF personnel, employees of WHO-GTMC, members of the Gulabkunverba Ayurveda Society, and members of the general public, took part in the yoga practice. The event received an overwhelming response, with participants striving to imbibe the essence of yoga through various yogic postures and practices.
A memorable presentation titled “Yoga Fusion”, prepared and performed by students of the ITRA Department of Yoga, beautifully blended music and yoga, leaving a lasting impression on the audience. An audio-visual presentation titled “Yoga: A Confluence from Me to We” was also showcased, highlighting the global journey of yoga inspired by the initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It is a matter of pride for Jamnagar that this presentation was developed by Prof. Vaidya Manoj Nesari through the efforts of ITRA and its ANCN TV Channel team.
