Diploma in Pharmacy -Ayurveda [D. Pharm. (Ayurveda)]

Objectives & Scope The course trains personnel for consumer sector of Ayurvedic drugs. They are qualified to dispense Ayurvedic drugs in hospitals, dispensaries etc., and training is imparted for maintaining stores of raw materials & finished products. Diploma degree is notified qualification for to be ayurvedic compounder as per notification of Director, Inidan system of medicine wide circular no. YJN-1/N.B.-25448-72/G Dt. 13/12/2008

Eligibility
  • The candidate must have passed intermediate (10+2) or its equivalent examination with the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English and must have obtained minimum of fifty per cent. marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the aforesaid qualifying examination in the case of the General category, Economically Weaker Section and forty per cent. marks in the case of the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes and the Other Backward Classes.
  • In respect of persons with disability specified under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 (49 of 2016), the minimum qualifying marks in the said qualifying examination in Physics, Chemistry and Biology shall be forty-five per cent. in the case of the General category and forty per cent. in the case of the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes and the Other Backward Classes.
  • No candidate shall be admitted to Diploma Course unless he or she has attained the age of seventeen years on or before the 31stDecember of the year of admission in the first year of the course.
  • There will be two seats reserved for foreign national candidates, approved by the Central Government. The Section 4 (1) shall not be applicable for said foreign national candidate. For these candidates any other equivalent qualification approved by the Central Government may be allowed.
  • Reservation Policy: The Institute shall implement the reservation policy in admissions, in accordance with norms of Government of India.
  • Verification of their credentials: On declaration of the results of the qualifying examination, the admission to the Diploma course of the Institute shall be granted on the basis of merit list. The allotted candidates shall have to remain physically present for verification of their credentials and the admission shall be granted to the eligible candidates.

Admission Criteria Admission is based on academic record and interview.
Academic Year Starts from July along with other professional courses in the state.
Tuition Fees Rs 45,000 per year (can be paid in full or in two equal installments in July (at time of admission for 1st year), and January). U.S. $ 2400 per year (the structure may vary as per the exchange value during the time of admission) for foreign students.
